Milwaukee’s M12 12V Copper Pipe Cutter has been alone on the market for a decade. DeWalt finally answered with their Impact Connect Copper Pipe Cutter Attachment, DWACPRIR. It turns cordless impact drivers into copper cutters and it’s twice as fast as the M12.
Cut Capacity
DeWalt’s attachment cuts 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ copper pipe using cutting wheels that can be used manually outside of the attachment. It comes with 1/2″ and 3/4″ wheels (the most common for household plumbing), but you have to buy the 1″ wheel separately.

Compare that to Milwaukee’s Copper Cutter (below) that cuts 3/8″ to 1″ pipe with its auto-adjust cutter. The M12 is also smaller and much quieter. That said, the DeWalt cuts twice as fast as the Milwaukee.

Bottom Line
DeWalt’s Copper Pipe Cutter attachment works with your preferred brand on impact driver.
It rotates 180°, cuts just as clean as the M12, (and it’s faster).
The downside: you have to carry, and keep track of, multiple components to use it.
